Repair it — or replace it?
The question every Parma homeowner asks us. Use our quick guide: it follows the same rule our technicians use — compare the appliance's age to its expected life, and the repair quote to half the cost of a new one.
Our recommendation

Lifespans are industry averages for each appliance type; replacement prices are typical mid-range figures for the Parma area. Every home is different — our technician will always give you the honest call after a real diagnosis.

Near the end of its life — or when a repair costs more than half the price of a new unit — replacement usually makes more sense. How much does a service visit cost?+
The diagnostic visit is a flat $89 — and it's waived in full when you approve the repair. There are no hourly charges: after diagnosing the problem, we quote one firm price for the complete repair, parts and labor included, before any work begins.
Can you fix it on the first visit?+
That's always the goal, and most of the time we do — our vans carry the most common replacement parts for all major brands, plus every tool the job needs. If a special part has to be ordered, there's no return-trip fee when we come back to finish.
When will the technician arrive?+
You'll get a 1–3 hour arrival window when you book, and your technician will call or text about 30 minutes before arriving. Same-day appointments are available 7 days a week, 7 AM – 11 PM — call early in the day for the best selection of times.
Do you warranty your work?+
Yes — every repair is covered by a 90-day labor warranty and up to a 3-year warranty on the parts we install. If the same problem comes back inside the warranty window, we come back and make it right.
Which brands do you service?+
Nearly all of them: Whirlpool, Samsung, LG, GE, Maytag, Kenmore, Frigidaire, Bosch, KitchenAid, Amana, Jenn-Air, Electrolux, Sub-Zero, Viking and many more. If your brand isn't listed, call us — we can order genuine parts for virtually any manufacturer.
Do you offer discounts?+
Yes: $30 off any completed repair for seniors and for veterans and active military, and $20 off for new customers. One discount per visit — just mention it when you book.
Six core services, one promise: a certified Parma technician at your door — usually the same day — with a flat quote before any work begins. Choose your appliance for problem lists, typical costs and booking.
Also serviced: microwaves, garbage disposals, trash compactors, wine coolers, and commercial washers, dryers and refrigeration for Parma businesses. Don't see your appliance? Call us — if it plugs in, we can probably fix it.
A warm fridge puts a whole grocery run at risk. Our Parma technicians repair every refrigerator style — French-door, side-by-side, top-freezer and built-in — most of them on the first visit, the same day you call.
Cooling problems are rarely the compressor — in most Parma homes it's a fan motor, a defrost fault, a failed start relay or dirty condenser coils. We test the full cooling system, show you exactly what failed, and quote one flat price before we repair anything.
Full cooling-system diagnosis in one visit
Genuine parts for Whirlpool, Samsung, LG, GE, Frigidaire & more
Ice maker and water dispenser repairs included
90-day labor warranty · up to 3 years on parts
Common refrigerator problems we fix
Not cooling
Fridge warm but the light works? Usually an evaporator fan, defrost fault or condenser issue — most are same-day fixes.
Freezing food
Produce freezing in the crisper points to a damper, thermostat or sensor fault throwing temperatures off balance.
Leaking water
Puddles inside or underneath almost always trace to a clogged or frozen defrost drain — a quick, inexpensive repair.
Ice maker dead
No ice, small cubes, or a maker that won't cycle. We repair or replace the module, valve and water line.
Loud or constant running
Buzzing, clicking or a compressor that never rests means the fridge is working too hard — catching it early saves the compressor.
Frost build-up
Ice coating the freezer walls signals a defrost heater, timer or door-seal problem letting warm air in.
What it typically costs
Typical Parma-area ranges for common refrigerator repairs, parts and labor included. Your exact flat quote comes after the $89 diagnostic — which is free when you repair with us.

Before you call
Two quick checks that save some Parma customers a visit:
Make sure the temperature is set to 37°F (fridge) and 0°F (freezer) — dials get bumped.
Check that boxes inside aren't blocking the rear vents.
Still warm, noisy or leaking? Don't wait — food spoils fast.
How long does a refrigerator repair take?+
Most refrigerator repairs take 45–90 minutes once we start. Fan motors, relays, drains and ice makers are van-stocked parts, so the large majority are finished on the first visit.
My fridge is warm but the freezer is cold — what is it?+
That pattern usually means cold air isn't moving from the freezer into the fridge section: a failed evaporator fan or a frost-choked defrost system. Both are common, repairable faults — book a diagnostic and we'll confirm on the spot.
A washer that won't drain, spin or stop leaking turns laundry day into a flood risk. We repair front-load and top-load washers across Parma — most on the first visit, with parts for all major brands on the van.
From a simple clogged drain pump to control-board faults and worn bearings, we diagnose the real cause — not just the symptom — and quote one flat price before any work starts.
Front-load, top-load, HE and smart washers
Leak tracing — pumps, hoses, seals and valves
Error codes read and explained in plain English
90-day labor warranty · up to 3 years on parts
Common washer problems we fix
Won't drain
Standing water after the cycle almost always means a clogged filter, a failed drain pump or a kinked hose.
Won't spin
Clothes come out soaking wet when the belt, motor coupling, lid switch or control fails mid-cycle.
Leaking
Puddles at the front, back or underneath — we pressure-test hoses, pumps, tubs and door boots to find the true source.
Shaking & banging
A washer walking across the floor needs suspension rods, shock absorbers or leveling — before it damages the floor or itself.
Won't fill or overfills
Faulty inlet valves and pressure switches cause slow fills, no fills, or water that never stops.
Door or lid won't lock
Modern washers refuse to run with a bad lock or latch — a fast, common repair we carry parts for.

Before you call
Two quick checks that solve more washer calls than you'd think:
Clean the drain-pump filter (front-loaders: small door at the bottom front) — coins and lint clog it constantly.
Note any error code on the display — it speeds up your diagnosis.
Still stuck, leaking or flashing codes? We'll take it from there.
Why does my front-load washer smell musty?+
Mildew grows in the door boot and detergent drawer when moisture sits. We deep-clean the boot and drain path during a service visit, and recommend leaving the door ajar between loads to prevent it coming back.
Is a loud spin cycle worth repairing?+
Often, yes — if it's suspension or a belt. If it's the rear tub bearing on an older machine, the labor can approach replacement cost, and we'll tell you that honestly after the diagnostic rather than sell you a repair that doesn't pay off.
A dryer that runs cold, takes three cycles, or thumps like a drum solo wastes energy and wears out your clothes. We repair gas and electric dryers across Parma — and clean the vent line while we're there.
No-heat dryers are usually a heating element, thermal fuse or igniter — all van-stocked parts. We also check the vent: in many Parma homes, a lint-choked vent, not the dryer, is the real reason clothes take forever.
Gas and electric dryers, all major brands
Vent-line inspection and cleaning available
Safety first: thermal fuses and gas connections tested
90-day labor warranty · up to 3 years on parts
Common dryer problems we fix
No heat
The drum turns but the air stays cold: a burned heating element, blown thermal fuse or dead gas igniter.
Takes forever to dry
Two or three cycles per load usually means restricted airflow — a clogged vent — or a weakening element.
Thumping or squealing
Worn drum rollers, a frayed belt or tired idler pulley. Catching it early prevents a snapped belt mid-load.
Won't start
Dead silence when you press start points to the door switch, start switch, thermal fuse or control board.
Stops mid-cycle
Overheating shutdowns from airflow problems, or a motor that's failing under heat and load.
Drum won't tumble
A snapped drive belt is the usual culprit — one of the fastest, cheapest dryer repairs there is.
What it typically costs
Typical Parma-area ranges, parts and labor included. Your firm flat quote follows the $89 diagnostic — free when you repair with us.

$280 – $450
Before you call
Two quick checks first:
Clean the lint screen and check the outside vent flap opens while the dryer runs — weak airflow mimics bigger faults.
Electric dryer gone cold? Check your breaker panel — dryers use two breakers, and one can trip alone.
Still cold, loud or dead? A clogged vent is also a fire risk — don't keep running it.
Do you repair gas dryers?+
Yes — our technicians service both gas and electric dryers, including igniters, gas valve coils and flame sensors, and we leak-test every gas connection we touch.
How often should my dryer vent be cleaned?+
About once a year for a typical household — more with long vent runs or heavy use. Lint build-up is the leading cause of slow drying and a genuine fire hazard, so if drying times have crept up, ask us to check the vent during your repair visit.
Dirty dishes, standing water, or a puddle spreading across the kitchen floor — dishwashers are the appliance we repair most in Parma, and most faults are a pump, valve or control issue we can solve in a single visit.
We trace leaks to their true source, clear drain faults properly (not just the symptom), and test wash performance before we leave — so the first load you run actually comes out clean.
Built-in, portable and drawer dishwashers
Leak repair that protects your kitchen floor and cabinets
Bosch, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG & more
90-day labor warranty · up to 3 years on parts
Common dishwasher problems we fix
Dishes come out dirty
Weak spray pressure, clogged arms, a failing circulation pump or water that never gets hot enough.
Standing water
Water pooled in the bottom after a cycle means a drain pump, hose or air-gap blockage stopping the empty.
Leaking
Door seals, inlet valves and pump housings are the usual sources — left alone, leaks quietly rot floors and cabinets.
Won't start or fill
Dead panels, door-latch faults and failed inlet valves stop the cycle before it begins.
Bad odors
Trapped food in the filter and drain path grows fast. We clean the system out and show you the maintenance routine.
Grinding or buzzing
Something's in the pump — glass and bone fragments are common — or the motor itself is wearing out.
What it typically costs
Typical Parma-area ranges, parts and labor included. Your firm flat quote follows the $89 diagnostic — free when you repair with us.

$280 – $480
Before you call
Two quick checks first:
Pull out and rinse the filter at the bottom of the tub — a clogged filter causes most "dirty dishes" calls.
Recently installed a garbage disposal? Make sure the dishwasher drain plug was knocked out — a classic cause of standing water.
Still not washing, draining or sealing? Book a visit before a small leak becomes a floor repair.
Why is there water left in the bottom of my dishwasher?+
A thin film of water over the filter is normal; a deep pool is not. It usually means the drain pump is weak, the drain hose is kinked or clogged, or the air gap is blocked. We test the full drain path during the diagnostic.
Can you stop my dishwasher leaking under the door?+
Usually, yes. Door-area leaks come from a worn door gasket, a cracked spray arm spraying directly at the door, or an overfilling inlet valve. We find which one it is before replacing anything.
An oven that won't heat — or heats 75 degrees off — ruins dinner fast. Our certified technicians safely repair gas and electric ovens, ranges, cooktops and double ovens across Parma.
We calibrate temperature with real test equipment, replace igniters and elements with the correct rated parts, and safety-check every gas connection. If you smell gas, leave the house and call your gas company first — then call us for the repair.
Gas and electric ovens, ranges and cooktops
Temperature tested and calibrated on every visit
Double ovens, wall ovens and slide-in ranges
90-day labor warranty · up to 3 years on parts
Common oven & range problems we fix
Won't heat at all
A failed igniter (gas) or burned-out bake element (electric) is behind most no-heat ovens — both quick repairs.
Heats unevenly
Hot spots and raw centers point to a weak element, failing sensor or convection fan fault.
Temperature is off
If everything burns or undercooks, we test the sensor and thermostat and recalibrate the control.
Burner won't light
Clicking with no flame, or a flame that dies — igniter, spark module or gas valve issues we diagnose safely.
Door won't close
Bent hinges, tired springs or a worn gasket leak heat and wreck cooking times — all replaceable.
Error codes & dead controls
F-code errors and unresponsive touchpads usually trace to the control board or a failed sensor circuit.
What it typically costs
Typical Parma-area ranges, parts and labor included. Your firm flat quote follows the $89 diagnostic — free when you repair with us.

Safety note
If you smell gas near your range:
Don't light anything or flip electrical switches.
Leave the home and call your gas utility's emergency line, then us for the appliance repair once it's safe.
No gas smell — just a cold oven or a stubborn burner? Book a visit and we'll have you cooking again, usually today.
Why does my gas oven click but never light?+
On most modern gas ovens the glow-bar igniter weakens with age: it clicks and glows but never draws enough current to open the gas valve. Replacing the igniter is the most common oven repair we do, and it's usually finished within the hour.
Can you fix a self-clean cycle that locked my door?+
Yes. Self-clean cycles run extremely hot and commonly blow the thermal fuse or cook the control board. We replace the failed part, check the door lock mechanism, and advise honestly on whether to use self-clean again on that model.
Soft ice cream and an ice maker that's gone silent are early warnings — catch them before a full thaw costs you a freezer full of food. We repair chest and upright freezers, wine coolers, and ice makers in Parma, usually the same day.
We test the complete sealed system and defrost cycle, from start relays and thermostats to evaporator fans — and we'll always tell you honestly when a compressor job on an old freezer doesn't beat replacement.
Chest, upright and garage freezers
In-fridge and stand-alone ice makers
Door seals replaced — stop cold air leaking out
90-day labor warranty · up to 3 years on parts
Common freezer & ice maker problems we fix
Not cold enough
Food softening at the edges means temperatures are creeping up — thermostat, fan or refrigerant issues.
Frost everywhere
Heavy frost points to a failed defrost heater or timer, or a door seal letting humid Parma summer air pour in.
Ice maker stopped
No cubes usually means the maker module, inlet valve or a frozen fill tube — most are quick fixes.
Clicks but won't run
A start relay that clicks and gives up is cheap to replace — and ignoring it can burn out the compressor.
Runs constantly
A freezer that never cycles off is fighting dirty coils, a bad seal or a failing control — and inflating your electric bill.
Strange-tasting ice
Old filters and build-up in the water line taint cubes. We replace filters and sanitize the line path.

My garage freezer struggles in winter — is it broken?+
Often it isn't. Many freezers are rated for rooms above 50°F; in a cold Parma garage the thermostat can stop calling for cooling. We can confirm whether yours is garage-rated and whether a garage kit or relocation is the right answer.
Is it worth repairing a 15-year-old freezer?+
For a relay, thermostat or seal — usually yes, those are modest repairs. For a failed compressor at that age, replacement is normally the smarter spend, and we'll say so plainly after the diagnostic.

Most repairs take 30–90 minutes once the technician starts. Simple fixes like belts, fuses and igniters are often done in under an hour; sealed-system refrigerator work can take longer, and we'll give you a realistic time estimate with your quote.
What forms of payment do you accept?+
All major credit and debit cards, cash and checks. Nothing is due when you book — payment happens after the repair is complete, and every invoice itemizes parts and labor in writing.
Do you service rental properties and businesses?+
Yes. We work with Parma landlords, property managers and small businesses — including commercial washers, dryers and refrigeration — and can coordinate directly with tenants for access. Call us to set up repeat service.
Which areas do you cover?+
All of Parma (44129, 44130, 44134) plus Parma Heights, Brooklyn, Brook Park, Seven Hills, Independence, Middleburg Heights, North Royalton, Strongsville, Brecksville, Broadview Heights and Cleveland's west side. See the full list on our service areas page.
